Participating Units

Planned mobility actions

On the basis of good traditional contacts among Network participants a new feature of the project is in a massive support of both phenomenons of contemporary university studies: the ECTS credit transfer and education in English. All participants have experiences enough from other programs (particularly Socrates – Erasmus) and are very good prepared for credit transfer, but in case of English teaching courses there have been made in many cases first steps only. The proposed project has the aim to support and accelerate development of education in English in all participating universities of the Network, particularly in education of control and automation. Many participants have already developed courses in English in form of electronic texts (e-texts). E-text in courses of control and automation area will create the basis for CEEPUS students and teachers for regular one semester term studies (in case of student mobility) and lectures (in case of teacher mobility). E-texts are created in individual partner universities in framework of individual partner or national projects (in the Czech Republic with support of development programs of Ministry of education etc.).

  1. Student mobility
    • one semester study on partners university for undergraduate - and graduate students (3 month stays),
    • graduate students mobility to prepare diploma work (3 month stays),
    • doctoral students mobility flows to finished work on doctoral thesis (3 month stay).

Universities of the network will prepare for purposes of such a study English written e-texts. Students will be prepared in English from the home university. Slovak and Czech students will study in Czech universities and vice versa in national language. The same procedure will be applied between Slovenia and Croatia students.

Students have to bring minimum 15 ECTS credits for one semester study in a host university. Credits have to be full accepted in the home institution. Diploma thesis will be evaluated by 10 ECTS credits.

Doctoral students mobility will be used mostly for individual c.v. in order to enable students from sending universities utilize scientific excellence of partners research laboratories and professors capacity as well as the work in multinational research teams.

  2. Short student mobility
  3.           There will be planned every year one Summer – or Winter school in the Network years time table. Topics of Schools will be defined by the Network general assembly in the end of each academic year. In the first academic year of the Network will be organized a Summer School in Prague with the topic: Distance and Internet based learning. Methodology, Internet oriented laboratories, e-texts in education of control, industrial informatics, measurement and instrumentation.

Successful students receive from Schools 6 ECTS credits for optional courses in their own c.v.

  4. Teacher mobility
  5.           Teacher mobility will be used for purposes of lectures and exercises of lecturers from sending universities to give lectures for students of receiving university. The organization of teacher mobility will be done by corresponding partners on sending and receiving universities. The most appropriate procedure would be to establish corresponding partners and implement lectures and exercises of coming lecturers in compulsory subjects. The minimum teacher load will be 8 hours/week.

Next teacher mobility will be concerned to Summer or Winter schools (one teacher month will be used for 2 teachers for 14 days School).
